All children in Reception and KS1 have weekly curriculum music lessons from Miss Pearcy. In Music classes she focuses on positive engagement in the new Music Model Curriculum, by using a selection of tuned and untuned percussion each week. Miss Pearcy performs live to the children and gets them singing whilst developing their musicianship and aural memory skills that encompasses rhythm, tempo, pitch , timbre, texture and dynamics.

For children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, they can apply via the Plumcroft App to start learning an instrument. Group instrumental lessons are available on Recorder, Ukulele or Keyboard for the younger half of the school.
