Record Break Not Heart Break for Plumcroft Year 6

Year 6 pupils will be travelling to Great Ormond Street Hospital on Tuesday 18th October to be part of a record break attempt as part of 'Restart a Heart' Day.

Year 6 pupils from Plumcroft will be trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at Great Ormond Street Hospital on Tuesday 18th October as part of 'Restart a Heart' Day, organised in collaboration with Resuscitation Council UK, British Red Cross, St John's Ambulance, British Heart Foundation and Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Each year approximately 28, 000 people have a cardiac arrest in the UK. Their chances of survival double if a bystander immediately delivers CPR before the arrival of the Emergency services.

It is hoped that the day will break a world record for the most people performing CPR.
