World Down's Syndrome Day

On Tuesday March 21st it was World Down's Syndrome Day. Sammy in RH has Down's Syndrome and the class joined in with Sammy celebrating this special day.

This internationally  recognised date was chosen to represent the three copies of the 21st chromosome  (21/3) that causes Down's Syndrome. The theme of the day was to wear brightly coloured socks. The children and staff had a lovely time celebrating and admired each other’s colourful feet ! There was lots of smiling all day.
