School Journey 2015 - Day 2

The latest from Year 5's School Journey to the Townsend Centre in Swanage, Dorset.  Monday 19th January - Friday 23rd January 2015.  All the latest news as supplied by Miss Morgan...

Jam packed with fun at the farm!

After a lovely cooked breakfast we headed out to Putlake Farm. Children had the whole farm to themselves and were complimented on their manners and behaviour which is always great to hear!

Time was split between a huge soft play/ ball pool area with slides, football etc and the other half of their time children had the opportunity to meet and greet the animals. Animals from sheep, cows and horses to guinea pigs, birds and rabbits felt the Plumcroft love! It was wonderful to see so many happy / excited faces!!

The day at the farm was finished off with a tractor ride and then a walk across the fields back to the centre where children had the choice of football, adventure playground and the low ropes course. Great team work was displayed across all activities.

After dinner we ventured underground to a quarry (similar to a mine) and the children learnt about smuggling and various other places around Swanage.

The day was finished off with hot chocolate and cookies coupled with lots of tired people...who strangely get a second wind at bedtime...

Lots of love 'Swanagers'
