School Journey 2015 - Day 3

The latest from Year 5's School Journey to the Townsend Centre in Swanage, Dorset.  Monday 19th January - Friday 23rd January 2015.  All the latest news as supplied by Miss Morgan...

A little struggle to get out of bed this morning but the call of another cooked breakfast always helps!

We went to Corfe Castle today via Kingswood. A lot of tired legs by the time we reached the top of the hill in the woods but these were eased by some of the fantastic views from Nine Barrow Down...including Poole Harbour and Sandbanks which I'm reliably informed is inhabited by Harry Redknapp.

A long walk along the Downs led us to Corfe Castle where children learned stories about life in around the castle and visited Corfe Museum.

A coach ride bought us back to the centre to warm up over hot chocolate and more stories with some brilliant Plumcroft actors and actresses (bodes well for Year 6 productions next year).

Game room and movie room action tonight saw some talented gymnasts and dancers and a silly game of charades from the teachers!

Looking forward to what tomorrow might bring (and don't tell anyone but the rain has pretty much stayed away so far!!)

Love Us
