Welly Winners! See Our Behind the Scenes Video!

Andy Day from CBeebies came to Plumcroft on the 29th to film a new Welly Beat music video with Nursery, Reception and Year One.  We went behind the scenes!

UPDATE:  Plumcroft won the Welly Beat Challenge, both for our brilliant music video and for our excellent fundraising.  Plumcroft raised a fantastic £641.97 for the Angels Charity.  Well done to those children in Nursery, Reception and Year One - as well as our friends from Stretto Music - for making such a charming and enjoyable music video and thank you to everyone who donated.

CBeebies' Andy Day visited the school on Monday 29th June to film a new Welly Beat music video starring the children of Plumcroft Nursery, Reception and Year One.  See our behind the scenes video here.

All the children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 classes have being doing an exciting music project called the Welly Beat Challenge! This is a project organised by CBeebies' Andy Day to raise funds for the Angels Charity who provide essential school equipment for 'pop-up' schools in remote areas in Africa so that children can have access to an education.

Our music teachers, Gennie and Alice from Boppin' Bunnies/Stretto Music, having been working on the project and have recorded all 250 children singing the Welly Beat song in their music classes!  Then, with the help of Tony & Anna from Boppin' Bunnies, they spent a day filming all the children doing their Welly Beat Dance!
All the children brought in their wellies for the 'filming' day, they worked super hard and were absolute superstars!
Here is out Plumcroft Welly Beat video entry.  Give it a watch and then click to donate to Angels.  Let's beat all our previous fundraising records!

Uchechukwu in Year 1 said about the project: "We are excited about raising money to help other children in Africa, so they can go to school and have a tasty lunch!"
