Nursery Admissions:

From September 2017 we will be offering a total of 44 morning and afternoon places. A proportion of these will be made up of full-time places.

Every child from the age of 3 is entitled to 15 hours of free Nursery Education. This means you can either have 5 morning sessions each week (8:45am to 11:45am) or 5 afternoon sessions each week (12:15pm to 3:15pm) for free.

If you would like your child to attend our nursery full-time, we can now meet this need. Our full-time sessions will be from Monday to Friday (8:45am to 3:15pm). You still get your 15 hours for free and all we ask is that you pay £75 per week for the additional hours of education. Your child will also have a hot school meal every day at no additional cost.

Whether you want a part-time place or a full-time place, just complete the application form available from the school office. We’ll confirm receipt and then let you know in writing if you have a place. Our normal admissions criteria apply.

If you have any questions then please call me on either the school number (020 8854 1308) or my work mobile (079000 159 86) or you can email me at rslade@plumcroft.greenwich.sch.uk.

Waiting lists

We operate a waiting list when the nursery is full. Normal admissions criteria apply with 1st preference given to ‘Looked After Children’ who are in the care of a Local Authority, next are children with a Statement of Need, then siblings and then proximity to the school.

There’s no need to wait for an Open Morning – just call the school office (020 8854 1308) and arrange a date and time to come and visit and see the school in action on a normal day.

Reception Admissions:

We are a 3 form entry Primary School which means we have three classes in each Year from Reception to Year 6. In Reception, each class will have a maximum of 30 children.

All admissions to our Reception are administered and allocated by the Royal Borough of Greenwich. You will need to complete the Common Application Form online at www.eadmissions.org.uk - You can complete a paper copy of the form but we’d encourage you to do the online version.

If your child is already in our nursery you will still need to make an application for a place in our Reception through the central admissions process as described above.

There’s no need to wait for an Open Morning – just call the school office (020 8854 1308) and arrange a date and time to come and visit and see the school in action on a normal day.

In-Year Admissions:

If you move into the area during any academic year or you already live in the area and decide you’d like your child to attend Plumcroft Primary School then you’ll need to contact the Admissions department of the Royal Borough of Greenwich and request an ‘In-Year Application Form’. This process is centrally administered.

Please go the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s website at http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk then search for ‘in-year school admissions’ for more information and downloadable copies of the forms.

Secondary Transfer:

When your child is in Year 5 (or before if you wish), you will need to start thinking about which Secondary School you want them to attend when they leave us at the end of Year 6. There will be Open Days you can attend and you can obtain details of all Secondary Schools from the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s website at http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk then search for ‘school admissions’.

At the beginning of Year 6 you will need to complete the online Common Application Form, identifying your 6 choices of secondary school in order of preference. You can complete a paper version but we’d encourage you to do it online.

I hope the above information is helpful. Please feel free to contact the school to arrange an informal visit at any time. I’m always happy to have an informal chat about what our school can offer
