Kay Charlton - Music Manager and Brass Tutor
Kay has been Music Manager at Plumcroft since 2015, she is a trumpet player, composer and teacher. In 2018 she completed a MA in Music Education at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and was awarded the Directors Prize for Excellence in Music Education.
She plays the trumpet with Bollywood Brass Band who perform across the UK, Europe and India and have released 5 CDs to critical acclaim.
Publications include Bollywood Blast!- brass and wind tutor books (Spartan Press), Are You Ready?For whole class trumpet (Warwick Music) and Piano pieces for Trinity College London’s Initial and Grade 1 syllabus.
Claire Pearcy - KS1 Music and Piano Tutor
Claire has been playing the piano since just 4 years old. She joined Trinity College of Music Junior Department at the age of 9 and continued her musical education achieving a Diploma in Musical Performance with the piano and Grade 8 clarinet.
Claire has been teaching the piano privately and as a peripatetic teacher in schools for many years. Her varied teaching experience includes working with children with learning difficulties, teaching adults, workshop leading and working in a variety of early years settings. Claire also runs the popular early years music classes Boppin' Bunnies, in Eltham and North Kent.
As well as teaching music, Claire regularly performs at a variety of music festivals. She has had the pleasure of performing at some prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, St Martin in the Fields and the Wigmore Hall.
Paul Zimmerman – Drum Tutor
After teenage years as a self-taught bedroom guitarist, Paul became involved in the African and Brazilian percussion scene performing with dance groups and bands before specialising in the drum kit, regularly appearing on the London jazz and afro funk circuit.

Kenny is a full time musician/music teacher. His experience ranges from teaching young children to adults and he particularly enjoys teaching guitar to beginners.
