Norfolk Lakes - School Journey 2019

Monday 11th March 2019

On our way to Norfolk Lakes we stopped at High Lodge in Thetford Forest to enjoy our packed lunch. We then arrived at our accommodation for the week at around 2pm.

Since arriving we have played volleyball, checked into our rooms and had a practice fire drill. We have great weather and are so excited to find out what activities we will be taking part in this week.

Please see the photo gallery below of some pictures showing what we have been up to.

Tuesday 12th March 2019 - Day 2

Despite driving rain and 40mph gusts, it's been business as usual at Manor Lake today... We've been enjoying kayaking, canoeing, climbing, fencing, problem solving, arching, caving and enjoying some lovely food! More adventures tomorrow!

Below are some pictures of our day, you can view more on our photo gallery page here.

Wednesday 13th March 2019 - Day 3

What an adventure it has been today at Manor Adventure. We've learnt canoeing across the river - going forwards, backwards and turning our canoes around. We've also learnt to work independently kayaking using the muscles in our arms. We've had adventures on the giant paddle boards working in large groups balancing on the board. Amazingly, we battled 50mph winds on individual paddle boards and despite falling in, we got back up and continued paddling. Some of us even managed to stand up and paddle at the same time!

Thursday 14th March 2019 - Day 4

The last full day at Manor Adventure Park has seen our amazing Year 5's improve their teamwork and communication skills. They have worked together to complete an obstacle course and build a raft. Some have lunged, thrusted and parried during the fencing and others managed to stand up on paddle boards (despite the 50mph winds). Good times being had by all!
