Video Learning Library - VLL
Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been another challenging half-term, but our whole School community has once again pulled together to continue to provide learning experiences for all our children.
With half-term upon us, the staff team have been busy preparing additional learning activities in the Video Learning Library section of the Distance Learning Portal. There is also a fabulous ‘Mental Health at Plumcroft’ video in the Whole School Activities section. You’ll also find challenging investigations in the Science section and stories galore in the Story Time section.
However, there will be no new activities posted between Saturday 13th and Sunday 21st February, nor will teachers be making phone calls or hosting zoom meetings. The Distance Learning offer will then be updated on Monday 22nd February, with new projects, videos and tasks on all learning platforms and all communication channels will reopen, including the How Are You ? Zoom Class meetings.
Please find attached to this email some updated guidance on our online learning provisions; what is on offer, where to find it and suggestions about how much time should be spent on each learning platform.
We hope that you enjoy half term!
Welcome to Plumcroft's new Video Learning Library (VLL). It’s a brand new section of our Distance Learning Portal designed to enhance our teaching provision.
You will find at least 3 video lessons from each year group team per week, many with attached activities to print or save, offering you the chance to view lessons from your child's teacher at a time that suits your family. Completed work can then be emailed or photographed and sent to class teachers.
You'll also find greetings from our staff, story time, physical activities and music tutorials. Check out the Whole School Activities for fantastic assemblies and projects.
Our Video Learning Library is in addition to our ongoing weekly myON projects, Mathletics and Readiwriter activities. You can also access Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Maths and Maths in a Flash challenges via the Renaissance Home Connect Link.
Videos will be shared regularly each week and will appear at the top of each feed, activities will be named to link with the videos and can be found at the bottom of each feed.
Enjoy and let me know what you enjoy most at email@example.com
